Humidity sensing properties of (Ba, Sr) TiO3 thin films grown by hydrothermal-electrochemical method

چکیده
Thin films of (Ba, Sr ) TiO3 ceramic have been grown on Ti electrodes in aqueous solution of (Ba, Sr) (OH)2 by hydrothermalelectrochemical method. These films are porous in nature and adsorb the water vapor when exposed to humid environment. X-ray diffraction data of as grown films shows the presence of four different peaks corresponding to barium strontium titanate. (BST) The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) shows a uniform distribution of spherical crystallites. Impedance measurements have been made at various frequencies and at different humidity levels to distinguish individual contributions to electrical conduction, arising from different sources like bulk and grain boundaries, inter granular contact regions and electrode-sample interface regions on the basis of non-Debye theory. The real part of the total complex impedance which represents the pore resistance Rt, is found to decrease by three order of magnitude with increase of humidity from 0 to 100% RH. We have proposed a physical model and its equivalent circuit to explain the skewed semicircles in the Cole-Cole plot of the experimentally acquired data.

Strain evolution of each type of grains in poly-crystalline (Ba,Sr)TiO3 thin films grown by sputtering
The strain states of [111]-, [110]-, and [002]-oriented grains in poly-crystalline sputtered (Ba,Sr)TiO(3) thin films on highly [111]-oriented Pt electrode/Si substrates were carefully examined by X-ray diffraction techniques. Remarkably, [002]-oriented grains respond more while [110]- and [111]-oriented grains do less than the theoretically estimated responses, which is understandable from the...
متن کاملDynamic Strain in Epitaxial Ferroic Oxide Films — @bulletorkidia Multiferroic Materials Based on Artificial Thin Film Het- Erostructures —
Epitaxial strain is known or theoretically predicted to essentially influence the electronic properties of transition metal perovskite oxides like (Ba,Sr)TiO3. One approach for reversible biaxial strain variation in epitaxial films fitting to a pseudocubic lattice parameter of about 4.0 Angstrom is the utilization of a ferroand piezoelectric PMN-PT(001) substrate. (PMN-PT stands for 0.72PbMg1/3...

In this research, Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanostructures were synthesized by low cost hydrothermal method. The grown ZnO nanostructures had a dispersed distribution with nanowire morphology and the specific surface area of about 7 m2.gr-1 which they have crystalized in hexagonal wurtzite structure. ZnO nanowires/polyvinyl alcohol network (ZP) on the epoxy glass substrate with cu-interdigited electrods...

Reactive powders of stoichiometry Nd2(Ti2/3Al1/3)3O9-δ and thin films of (Ba0.7Sr0.3)TiO3 have been prepared by the conventional mixed-oxide method and the metal-organic deposition method, respectively. The corresponded phases after calcination and sintering are investigated by XRD diffraction. Single phase of Nd2(Ti2/3Al1/3)3O9-δ could be only obtained by sintering over 1400C for 4 h. (Ba0.7Sr...
